Material, Specification and Performance

Material

CABAC cable ties are manufactured from nylon 6/6 (polyamide 66), the established industry standard for cable fastening. Nylon 6/6 is commonly used because it provides an excellent balance of mechanical strength, toughness, flexibility and cost efficiency. It is lightweight, durable and resistant to most common oils, greases and chemicals encountered in electrical and industrial environments.

The material is hygroscopic, meaning it absorbs small amounts of atmospheric moisture. This natural property helps maintain flexibility and impact resistance, particularly in variable humidity conditions.

Did You Know CABAC Cable Ties Are Low Smoke, Zero Halogen (LSZH)?

CABAC’s nylon cable ties are tested and verified for low-smoke, zero-halogen (LSZH) performance, meeting EN 14582, UL 94 V-2 and Plenum Rated AH-2 classification under UL 62275.
